Pam-Alexis

Pam Alexis has spent nearly three decades making the Fraser Valley her home and sanctuary. Her public service career began in 2005 as a School Trustee, followed by a seat on the Mission City Council in 2014. Her reputation for fairness and teamwork resulted in a resounding victory in the 2018 mayoral election.

In 2020, then-Premier John Horgan encouraged her to represent the community on a larger scale, resulting in her successful election as MLA for Abbotsford-Mission. As MLA, she focused on “introducing” the Fraser Valley to her colleagues, serving on the Cabinet Committee on Economy, the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services, and the Select Standing Committee on Health.

Pam was instrumental in recovery efforts during the 2021 Atmospheric River disaster, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the community. In December 2022, she was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Food, overseeing historic investments and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Before her political career, Pam was active in various boards and non-profits, including the Mission Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, and the BC Winter Games. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and a PDP with a focus on English and Theatre.

Pam taught ESL in Japan and Texas before settling in Mission in 1996, where she raised her two grown children. She looks forward to continuing her work in Victoria, where she will dedicate herself to representing the people of the Fraser Valley with passion & integrity.
